The 20 km de Lausanne is one of Switzerland's oldest city races, and in 2026 it was held for the 44th time, as always in late April. The hub is the Pierre-de-Coubertin stadium by the lake in Vidy, and the course runs 'from the lakeshore to the cathedral cobbles': Lausanne is built on steep slopes, so the climbs are real, and the reward is views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. The choice is huge, with the classic 10 and 20 km, kids' races over 2 and 4 km, walking and Nordic walking, and an evening Apéro'Run, so the whole city takes to the streets for the weekend. Lausanne is the Olympic capital, home to the Olympic Museum, a Gothic cathedral and the Ouchy waterfront, with the Lavaux wine terraces close by.
