Achill Half Marathon & 10K
3 July 2027 · Achill Island, Ireland
half10ksceniccoastalislandhillyautumn
The Achill Half Marathon & 10K is an annual summer race on Ireland's largest island, usually held on the first Saturday of July — and both distances sell out well in advance. The course follows the island roads of County Mayo, with hills, ocean views, bogland and whitewashed villages, while the Atlantic wind adds its own character. It's an intimate, warm-hearted Irish race where everyone heads to the local pubs after the finish. Linked to the mainland by a bridge, Achill offers Keem Bay beach, the Croaghaun cliffs, the deserted village on Slievemore and the Great Western Greenway cycle trail.
