Almere Weerwater Run

The Almere Weerwater Run is the biggest running celebration in Almere, the modern 'polder city' east of Amsterdam. The flat 5 and 10 km courses loop the urban Weerwater lake with views over the waterfront and the Esplanade. It is a charity event (for the KWF cancer fund) and family-friendly, with kids' and business runs. Accessible distances and easy logistics make it a great start for beginners in a pleasant summer setting.
