The Aphrodite Half Marathon takes place each April in Polis Chrysochous, a small town in north-west Cyprus, organised by the municipality and Running in Cyprus, the team behind the TUI Cyprus Marathon. Alongside the half there are 10 km and 5 km races and a 3 km kids' run, so the whole family can join in. The course follows the scenic west coast with views over Chrysochou Bay and suits both first-timers and seasoned runners. Every finisher gets a medal and a T-shirt, and the field has a strong international flavour, with many runners from the UK, Poland and Germany. Afterwards, explore the Baths of Aphrodite, the trails of the Akamas peninsula, turquoise coves and the fish tavernas of Latchi harbour.
