ASICS Sentrumsløpet is a traditional spring race through the streets of central Oslo, organised by the IL i BUL sports club. The main distance is 10 km, with a 5 km and Sentrumsløpet for Kids as well, so it draws both seasoned runners and first-time road racers. The course runs on car-free streets of the capital, past historic quarters, squares and waterfronts, with the gentle ups and downs typical of Oslo. For many Norwegians it is the key spring fitness test and a real city festival with spectators along the way. Oslo offers the walkable roof of the Opera House, the Munch Museum, Vigeland Park, Akershus Fortress and the Aker Brygge waterfront.
An easy run with a local club the day before the race — the best way to shake out the legs and meet the city.
