Balaton Supermarathon is a multi-day run around Lake Balaton held in late February to early March; 2026 saw its 16th edition. Over four days runners circle the entire lake, covering roughly a marathon a day, solo, in pairs or in teams, with shorter distances for those not ready for the full loop. The route passes lakeside towns and vineyards along the quiet off-season shore, with panoramas of the water and the Badacsony hills. It is a test of character and a warm running community at once; around it lie Tihany and its abbey, Balatonfüred's promenade and the wines of the north shore.
