Běhej lesy Jizerská is the series stage in Bedřichov, the cross-country skiing capital of the Jizera Mountains; in 2026 it took place on 29 August. Běhej lesy ('Run the Forests') is a series of eight trail races in the Czech Republic's most beautiful natural spots, with distances from 3 to 50 km, Dr. Max kids' races and an overall 'Lord and Lady of the Forest' ranking; the state forestry company Lesy ČR is its founding partner. The courses follow wide forest roads and plateau trails past peat bogs, granite tors and reservoirs, on the same ground as the famous Jizerská 50 ski race in winter. The terrain is rolling but runnable, so you can race the clock or simply soak up nature. The Jizera Mountains offer lookout towers on Černá Studnice and Tanvaldský Špičák, the region's glassworks and Liberec with Ještěd mountain.
