Bergamo21 opens the FollowYourPassion race calendar in late January, with a half marathon and a 10 km, each offered as competitive and non-competitive races. The course is fast through the streets of the lower city, and the expo village sits beside the Sentierone boulevard, just 400 m from the station — easy to do as a day trip, including via Orio al Serio airport. The race pack includes a bib, an official T-shirt and partner gifts, and every finisher gets a medal and refreshments. It is a great way to kick off the season with a PB. Afterwards, ride the funicular up to the Città Alta behind its UNESCO-listed Venetian walls and treat yourself to casoncelli and polenta.
