Bjelasica Trail

Bjelasica Trail is an annual mountain race held in early August in Kolašin, organised with the local tourist board. Its colour-coded routes range from the 60 km Red course with over 3,000 m of climbing to the 40 km Green, 23 km Blue and 12 km Orange, plus a 500 m kids' race. The trails climb onto the Bjelasica range through dense forest, past crystal-clear streams and across open pastures beneath rugged peaks, starting and finishing in Kolašin itself. Kolašin is a mountain resort in northern Montenegro: in summer, hike to glacial Biogradsko Lake in Biogradska Gora National Park and refuel on kačamak and local cheese.
