Blodomloppet is Sweden's large running series in support of blood donation. The Borås edition — in the 'textile city' half an hour from Gothenburg — is held in late August: run 5 or 10 km or walk 5 km on flat urban paths. A mass, accessible format for all levels; blood donors traditionally run for free.
