Blodomloppet is one of Sweden's biggest running series, created to raise awareness of blood donation. In Jönköping it starts on a warm August evening from Knektaparken by Lake Rocksjön, with a choice of running 5 or 10 km or walking 5 km on flat urban paths. The mood is friendly and family-oriented, ideal for beginners; registered blood donors traditionally take part for free.
