Blodomloppet is Sweden's large charity series in support of blood donation. The Kalmar edition — a historic castle town by the strait leading to the island of Öland — is held in early September: run 5 or 10 km or walk 5 km on flat urban paths. A friendly, family format for all levels; blood donors traditionally run for free.
