Blodomloppet is Sweden's large charity series in support of blood donation. The Karlstad edition is held in late August near the shores of the vast Lake Vänern: run 5 or 10 km or walk 5 km on flat urban paths. Friendly and family-oriented, ideal for beginners; blood donors traditionally take part for free.
