Blodomloppet is Sweden's large running series in support of blood donation. The Västerås edition is held in late August on the shore of Lake Mälaren, about an hour from Stockholm: run 5 or 10 km or walk 5 km on flat urban paths. A mass, friendly and accessible event for all levels; blood donors traditionally run for free.
