tRUNsylvania International 10K is the headline race of the Brașov Running Festival, which turns Brașov into a road-running capital every early October. The race holds a World Athletics Elite Label, is broadcast live, and draws top Kenyan and Ethiopian runners to what is billed as one of the fastest 10K courses in the world. The course is three big flat loops on Strada Zaharia Stancu and Strada Camil Petrescu, while amateurs can run 5 and 10 km, a fun 3 km, or the 12 km 'Trail to Road' that starts on mountain trails and ends on tarmac. Every finisher gets a medal, and kids have races of their own. Brașov is one of Transylvania's prettiest cities: Piața Sfatului, the Black Church, Rope Street and mountains right behind the rooftops.
