The Cabbage Patch 10 is a cult 10-mile (about 16 km) race that has started from The Cabbage Patch pub on Church Street in Twickenham, south-west London, since 1982. The flat course runs along the scenic banks of the Thames through Richmond and Kingston — a favourite among British runners for a fast ten-miler ahead of the winter marathons. The mood is clubby and warm, and the 10-mile distance suits anyone who has outgrown the 10K but isn't ready for a half.
