The Cambridge Half Marathon is held in March and sells out every year; since 2021 its runners have raised more than £5.75 million for charity. Start and finish are on Victoria Avenue, next to the event village on Midsummer Common. The flat, fast course runs through the private grounds of four University of Cambridge colleges, past the historic city-centre architecture and out into the countryside on the edge of town. Cambridge offers King's College Chapel, punting on the Cam, the Fitzwilliam Museum and historic pubs such as The Eagle.
