Cervia Run is a young running festival on Romagna's Adriatic coast, held in late March and growing every year — its second edition already drew around 2,000 entries. On Sunday there is a half marathon, competitive and non-competitive 10 km races and a 5 km, while Saturday features a family run and a kids' race. The course is flat through the seaside resort, and part of the entry fees supports local hospitals and associations, including a charity for children with cancer. The organisers are already preparing a full marathon. Cervia is famous for its ancient salt pans, the pine forest of Milano Marittima and endless beaches, with the mosaics of Ravenna just up the road.
