Mattoni České Budějovice Half Marathon

The Mattoni České Budějovice Half Marathon is a RunCzech evening half held in late May or early June; the 13th edition in 2025 drew almost 4,000 runners. Start and finish are on the vast Přemysl Otakar II Square with its Samson Fountain, and the traffic-free course loops through the historic centre of the South Bohemian capital. The evening start, music along the route and pacers from 1:30 to 2:30 create a festive mood, and course records — 59:49 for men — show how fast it is. It is part of the Mattoni running festivals, with shorter distances around the half. České Budějovice offers the Black Tower, the Budvar brewery and Hluboká Castle a few kilometres away.
