The Cold Hawaii Ultra takes place in September from Klitmøller, a village nicknamed 'Cold Hawaii' for its powerful North Sea waves. Distances of 22, 44 and 105 km cross the dunes, beaches and heaths of Thy National Park — Denmark's wildest nature, with wind-bent pines and nothing but sea on the horizon. Afterwards: Klitmøller's surf cafés, the fishing town of Hanstholm and its lighthouse.
