The Cork City 10K is an August race organised by St. Finbarr's AC as part of the Peugeot Race Series, and it sells out early every year. It starts at the gates of Fitzgerald's Park on the Mardyke: the first half overlooks the River Lee, the second follows the flattest and straightest stretch of road in Cork, finishing on the Lee Fields by the riverbank. It's a PB course, with records of 29:38 for men and 31:58 for women. Afterwards, explore Cork — the English Market, Shandon, the UCC campus and the city's lively pubs.
