Corri la Vita is Florence's biggest running event: tens of thousands in the signature t-shirt run or walk through the city's streets and gardens to raise money against breast cancer. There is a short route of about 5.5 km and a long one of about 11 km, passing palaces, villas and Tuscan parks. The mood is festive and family-friendly — perfect for straight-off-the-couch running tourists.
