The Corrida bulloise is a celebrated November road race through the lit streets of Bulle (canton Fribourg), at the foot of the Gruyère pre-Alps. The day is filled with dozens of age-category starts: popular runs from a few hundred metres up to ~5 km, while the elites race in laps — women 10 laps of 619 m (~6.2 km), men 8 laps of 1016 m (~8.1 km). An atmospheric evening event in a touristy town beside Bulle castle and the home of Gruyère cheese.
