Corrida de Houilles
27 December 2026 · Houilles, France
10kelitefastflatwintericonic
Corrida de Houilles has been held in the last days of December since 1972, created by the town's mayor and fireworks expert Alexandre Joly, inspired by São Paulo's famous New Year's Eve race. The near-flat town course is built for records: the 10 km has two starts — the elite 'Course des As', which attracts world-class runners, and the festive 'Populaire' — plus a 5 km and free kids' races. Many run in festive costumes, and the evening ends with fireworks in Parc Charles de Gaulle. Houilles is just 8 km west of Paris, so the lights of the Champs-Élysées and the Christmas markets are close at hand.
