Corrida Porto de Leixões is a mass road race on the Matosinhos coast just outside Porto, organised by the port authority and local clubs. It starts and finishes near the Leça da Palmeira fort, running along the ocean and the Leixões cargo port with a salty breeze and harbour views. There is a 10K (run) and a 5K (run/walk), suiting both racers and straight-off-the-couch beginners. A great excuse to pair the race with a trip to wine-famous Porto and the Matosinhos beaches.
