Crosul Arenelor is a standalone 10 km road race in Bucharest, held in late September along the wide boulevards and park avenues of the city's northern side. It is not a marathon add-on but an event in its own right: a single headline 10 km distance, a flat course and a friendly urban vibe that suit both first-timers and runners wanting to test their 10K pace. Places are capped (around 2,500 runners), so early registration is advisable. Autumnal Bucharest, green and full of grand architecture, makes a pleasant backdrop for a short running getaway.
