The CURREX Alsterlauf is a popular autumn city race in Hamburg. It starts and finishes on the Ballindamm by the central lake; the 10 km course loops around the Outer Alster (Außenalster) with views of sailboats, villas and the city's spires, while the 5 km stays in the centre. A flat, fast route, thousands of runners and easy start waves make it a great weekend 10K in one of Germany's most beautiful cities in early September.
