Damloop by Night is the Saturday-evening warm-up to the famous Dam tot Damloop. Thousands set off from central Zaandam over 5 English miles (about 8 km) through floodlit streets, with music and light along the route. The course is flat and fast and the mood festive rather than competitive — an accessible 'straight-off-the-couch' run and a fun way to spend the evening near the Zaanse Schans ahead of the main Sunday race.
