Dark Run Lahti

Dark Run is an evening adventure run in Lahti, held twice a year, in autumn and winter, when Finnish nights come early. You can run, walk or Nordic walk the 5 or 10 km; a headlamp is mandatory and the minimum age is 12. The route follows forest trails on the glacial Salpausselkä ridge, and in autumn the final forest stretch offers an optional, even darker ‘Dark Forest’ path where actors from Theatrum Olga lie in wait. The autumn edition tends to sell out. Lahti is a city of ski jumps and world championships, with a ski-jump viewing tower and the Lake Vesijärvi waterfront.
