The Sparkasse 3-Länder-Marathon crosses three countries: start in Lindau (Germany), a course along Lake Constance through Austria and Switzerland, and a finish in Bregenz. It takes place in early October, with a half and 10 km too, and lake-and-Alps views all the way. Lindau is an island old town with a lighthouse and a Bavarian lion at the harbour; Bregenz has its floating festival stage and the Pfänder cable car.
