Coinis Durmitor Trail Run

Coinis Durmitor Trail Run takes place in early July in Žabljak, Montenegro's highest town, and its main races sell out well in advance. The course names say it all: the 5 km 'Two Lakes', 10 km 'Three Lakes', half-marathon 'Five Lakes', the 'Ten Lakes' marathon with about 2,100 m of climbing, and the 65 km Durmitor Trail with nearly 3,000 m of ascent, plus a kids' race. Routes wind through UNESCO-listed Durmitor National Park, past glacial lakes including the famous Black Lake, through scented pine forest and beneath limestone peaks. After the finish, go rafting in the Tara Canyon, one of the deepest in Europe, or drive the panoramic road over the Sedlo pass.
