The Maratón Internacional Elche-Alicante is a point-to-point course starting near the Palacio de Altamira in Elche — a city famous for its Palmeral palm grove, a UNESCO World Heritage Site — and finishing at the Port of Alicante. The inaugural 2025 edition drew 4,300 runners from over fifty countries and ranked among Spain's seven largest marathons by participation. It is organised by Club Atlético Montemar together with the Elche and Alicante town councils.
