Engadin Sommerlauf
22 August 2027 · Sils-Maria, Switzerland
trailrollingsummeralpinelakeside
The Engadin Sommerlauf is a late-August classic in Graubünden that will hold its 48th edition in 2027. It starts at the school in Sils, and the 22.9 km course winds along the largest lakes of the Upper Engadine, Sils, Silvaplana and Champfèr, through golden larch forests and along the Inn to the finish village at St. Moritz Bad on the shore of Lake St. Moritz. The altitude of around 1,800 m makes it harder, though the profile is rolling, with about 280 m of climbing and a little more descent. The Engadine means the mountain light loved by Nietzsche and Segantini, glamorous St. Moritz, the Bernina Express and hiking trails to the Morteratsch glacier.
