The Esbjerg City Half takes place in early September: 5 km, 10 km and a half marathon through central and coastal Esbjerg. The course is flat, with the North Sea wind as the main opponent. Esbjerg is a young port city and Denmark's energy capital: the nine-metre white figures of 'Man Meets the Sea', the Fisheries and Maritime Museum, a ferry to Fanø and the Wadden Sea National Park (UNESCO) nearby.
