The Eventyrsport Tisvilde Trail takes place in October: 7 km, 14 km and a half marathon through Tisvilde Hegn, a forest planted long ago to stop drifting dunes. The course follows sandy paths through pines with strangely twisted trunks — the famous 'Troll Forest' — and out to the Kattegat beaches. Tisvildeleje is Copenhageners' favourite summer resort, with beaches, forest and cosy cafés.
