The Famagusta Run (Cablenet Famagusta Run, after its title sponsor) was first held in October 2026 in the resort of Protaras, in the Famagusta district. Its signature distance is a 30 km along the Mediterranean coast — a rare format and ideal for anyone building towards an autumn marathon — alongside a dynamic 10 km, a 5 km, a corporate team 5 km and a 1 km kids' race. The 5, 10 and 30 km courses are AIMS-measured, with chip timing and age-group awards. The organisers lean into sea views and the cultural significance of the Famagusta region. Protaras is known for Fig Tree Bay, the sea caves of Cape Greco and crystal-clear water for a post-race swim.
