The Mainova Frankfurt Marathon is Germany's oldest city marathon (since 1981), held on the last Sunday of October. A fast, flat course among the skyscrapers and a famous finish inside the Festhalle exhibition hall — on a red carpet under the spotlights. Frankfurt offers the Museum Embankment on the Main, the Römerberg, the Main Tower viewing deck and apple wine in Sachsenhausen.
