The Gaia Half Marathon takes place at the end of March with two distances, a half marathon and a 10 km, suitable for beginners and experienced runners alike. The course follows Gaia's coastal roads along the Atlantic: fresh sea breeze, wide promenades and fairly gentle terrain. Spring temperatures are still cool, making it a good tune-up before April marathons. Afterwards, visit the port-wine lodges on Gaia's riverfront, ride the cable car and cross the Dom Luís I bridge into Porto's UNESCO-listed old town.
