Gent 10 Mijl is a popular city run in Ghent held in September, modelled on the famous Flemish ten-mile races. Runners choose 5 miles (about 8 km) or 10 miles (about 16 km) along the streets and quays of the historic centre. It is an accessible, mass-participation event with a flat course, a kids' run and a great atmosphere — a fine excuse to combine running with a stroll through medieval Ghent.
