The Sofico Gent Marathon is a spring marathon, half and 10 km in Ghent. The flat course passes through the historic centre and green outskirts, with the most beautiful kilometres by the medieval quays and towers of the old town. Ghent has the van Eycks' Ghent Altarpiece in St Bavo's Cathedral, the Gravensteen castle, student bars and one of Europe's best vegetarian scenes.
