Gran Premio de Fondo Diputación de Granada
13 September 2026 · Salar, Spain
regional circuitsmall townbudget friendly
The Diputación de Granada Gran Premio de Fondo is a decades-old circuit of roughly 15-19 regional races across the province, and the stop in Salar, a town known for its Roman-era ruins (Villa Romana), is one of its classic fixtures. The 10K and half marathon wind through the rolling countryside of the Vega de Granada, within reach of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada. It's a grassroots, locally-focused event drawing club runners and amateurs from surrounding villages rather than an international field. The fresh air and proximity to Andalusia's historic landmarks make it a worthwhile detour for traveling runners.
