The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run takes place on the early-May bank holiday weekend; both the 10K and the half sold out in 2026, with junior races at Alexander Stadium the day before. The route starts in Centenary Square and tours landmark districts: the Jewellery Quarter, the Mailbox, Digbeth and the futuristic Selfridges, while the half heads south to Cannon Hill Park, Selly Park and Edgbaston cricket ground. The finish and event village are at Aston University. Birmingham offers miles of canals, Cadbury World, the Balti Triangle and a buzzing food scene.
