The Harzgebirgslauf is an autumn mountain race in Wernigerode: a marathon, half and 10 km on the forest roads and trails of the Harz with serious climbs. Wernigerode is a fairy-tale half-timbered town with a hilltop castle and a steam narrow-gauge railway up the Brocken.
