Midnight Run Helsinki is the Finnish edition of Sweden's Midnattsloppet, an evening race in early September that organisers bill as Finland's most fun run. Distances are 10 km starting at 21:00 and 5.3 km at 22:15, plus a Masquerade category for runners in costume. The route runs through central Helsinki at night under the city lights, starting in waves. There are plenty of company teams, and prize money for the top 10 km finishers. Afterwards, enjoy Helsinki: Senate Square, the Esplanadi, seaside saunas and the bars of Kallio.
