The Hesselagergaard Sommerløb takes place in late July around Hesselagergaard, one of Denmark's oldest Renaissance manors (16th century) with stepped gables. Distances of 5 km, 10 km and a half marathon follow country roads, fields and woods in south Funen. Egeskov Castle with its mazes, maritime Svendborg and the beaches of the South Funen Archipelago are nearby.
