The Høfde Ultra Trail takes place in March near Vejle: 25 and 50 km through one of the hilliest parts of Denmark — steep beech-wooded valley slopes and hills along Vejle Fjord. There is plenty of climbing for a Danish trail, and in spring the forest is full of light. Vejle has the wave-shaped Bølgen housing on its waterfront, with the Jelling rune stones (UNESCO) and Legoland in Billund nearby.
