The Inalpe 2.0 Trail is a summer mountain race in Nendaz at the end of August, run under the motto 'seriousness optional, party mandatory'. There is a distance for everyone: the 'Roi de Balavaux' at 15.5 km with 860 m of climbing, the 'Reflets Alpins' at 30 km with 1,900 m, and the legendary 'Marathon de la Ros'' at 42 km with about 3,500 m of ascent beneath the Rosablanche, plus kids' races from 500 m. The trails cross alpine pastures, follow the old irrigation channels known as bisses and climb to high lakes with views over the Rhône valley and the Valais peaks. Nendaz is a mountain resort on the sunny side of Valais, with bisse walks and an alphorn festival in summer and the 4 Vallées ski area in winter.
