The Irish Runner 10 Mile is a July race in Dublin's Phoenix Park, the grand finale of a summer series of 5K, 5 mile and 10 mile events, and it incorporates the National 10 Mile Championships. The course follows the avenues of one of Europe's largest city parks — past ancient trees, open meadows and grazing deer, with gentle undulations. The start line mixes elite athletes chasing titles with runners of every level, and there's a special buzz to a championship race. Afterwards, visit Dublin Zoo and the President's residence in the park, then head into town for Trinity College, Temple Bar and the Guinness Storehouse.
