The 'Run around Lake Ülemiste' is one of Estonia's oldest mass road races, with more than half a century of editions. The course is a single loop of the shoreline of Lake Ülemiste — the lake that sits right at the gates of Tallinn, next to the airport. It is flat, running along the water and promenade for roughly 10 km, friendly for straight-off-the-couch beginners and for anyone wanting an even pace. Held in late August while Tallinn's summer still lingers. Not to be confused with the evening ÜLEMISTE Night Run — this is the long-running daytime circuit race.
