The Kaišiadorys Marathon debuts in October 2026 as the first marathon in the town's history, and the organisers — a local running club together with the Maratomanija community — see it as a town festival and the start of a new tradition. Distances include a 500 m kids' run, 5 and 10 km, a half and a full marathon, so everyone can find their race. The course takes in different corners of the town, its streets and green spaces, in the mellow golden autumn of central Lithuania. Kaišiadorys lies between Vilnius and Kaunas, close to Rumšiškės with its huge open-air museum of Lithuanian rural life and the Kaunas Reservoir.
